Hi friends + Happy Monday!
Fall is a WHOLE magical mood for me. I (semi-patiently) wait to trade in my summery maxi dresses, bright pink lipsticks, and candy-like fragrances for shackets, vampy lips AND cozy, musky, fall scents. When it comes to scents, I want a fragrance that encapsulates everything that I love most about fall. I’m talking cozy sweaters, crisp leaves, coffee brewing + of course camp fires avec all of the smores.
Now that we’ve talked about my fav fall lipsticks (click here if you missed that post), next on the docket is …. my fav fall fragrances for 2021. In the interest of shopping my stash, I did a deep dive into my fragrance collection + found 5 scents that are SO perfect for fall (aka they all have notes of vanilla, musk + a hint of spice).
So, to save you (+ your nose) from wandering the fragrance aisles of Sephora to sniff the seasons newest scents (avec mask of course), here are my top 5 fragrances for fall!
ONE: Prada “Candy”
This is an OG in my collection and definitely one of my all time fav fragrances. As someone who loves to walk around smelling like a yummy little candy shop, I find that Prada Candy is the perfect grownup version of that. With notes of caramel, vanilla and musk, this fragrance makes me want to throw on a sweater dress, over the knee boots + a vampy lip and find a cozy little restaurant to spend the evening in.

TWO: YSL “Black Opium”
As I’m typing this, perfume in hand, I’m picturing a wide brim beige hat, oversized plaid scarf, red lip….and an apple orchard. And it’s not because that’s what this YSL classic smells like, but that’s definitely the Fall activity I can imagine myself doing while smelling like this. With key notes of black coffee, white flowers (definitely the stand out note of this one) and vanilla, it’s light, cozy and … comfortable (if that makes any sense). While this heavenly scent is a tad on the pricey side, it’ll never go out of style and I mean, how gorgeous is that bottle!

THREE: REPLICA “By the Fireplace”
‘Can I hear a little commotion for … this fragrance?’ (any Tik Tok lovers out there??). I kid you not, this is fall in a bottle which explains why I’m currently on my 3rd bottle of “By the Fireplace”. This popular unisex scent encapsulates everything I love about fall, making it THE perfect scent for any and every one of your fav fall activities. Easily worn from day to night, it’s warm and cozy and makes me want to cuddle up by the fire(place) with a coffee and a book. While this scent is nothing short of a dream, be warned, a little goes a long way AND I do find I sneeze a lot if I’m heavy handed with this one (which I blame the woodsy notes for).

FOUR: The Body Shop “White Musk”
This (cruelty-free) fragrance from The Body Shop proves that you don’t need to break the bank to find an incredible scent! I’ve had “White Musk” in my collection for over 10 years and I’m still just as obsessed. This floral woody musk scent is so versatile and easy to wear. When worn during the day, I find you smell so clean and cozy and when worn at night, it gives off a sultry, sexy vibe.

FIVE: Dolce & Gabbana “The One”
While this is a newer scent in my collection, it was definitely a “love at first sniff” kind of a moment for me. Unlike the previous 4 fragrances, “The One” is more fruity and florally and a lot less vanilla-y, which isn’t something I’d normally be drawn to but this is quite literally a breath of fresh air. When I smell this, I think of a Sunday morning stroll through the treelined streets, coffee in hand, crisp leaves at your feet, en route to a Farmers Market. This scent is fresh, light and crisp.
