HELLO friends, happy Thursday + more importantly, HAPPY 2nd day of Fall!
Is anyone else as excited as I am that Fall is finnnnally here?! Bring on the scented candles, cozy sweaters and pumpkin spice everything!
Annnyways, today we’re chatting about the new “IT” lip plumper that will make all of your “wait, did she get lip filler?!” dreams come true, no needles required.
That’s right, today we’re talking everything FENTY Beauty Gloss Bomb Heat Universal Lip Luminizer + Plumper (gosh that’s a mouthful)!
The brand launched their OG Gloss Bombs back in 2017 and since then, I’ve never not had a Gloss Bomb (usually the shades “Fenty Glow” or “Fu$$y”) within arms reach. These glosses provide the lips with explosive shine + shimmer (Rihanna’s words, not mine haha) making them plump + juicy and totally kissable. Oh geez and don’t even get me started on the massive doe foot applicator…enter ALL of the heart eye emojis!!! Since gracing the shelves of Sephora and amassing a not so little collection of Gloss Bombs in my own stash, I have been NOT so patiently waiting for them to come out with a lip plumper. And while it took them, what felt like eternity, the brand launched a new line of “Heat” glosses and I could not be more excited.

The first Gloss Bomb Heat came into our lives back in July (of 2021) + while I will admit I was sitting at my computer with my mouse hovering over “add to cart” waiting for it to go live on sephora.ca, I was less than thrilled to discover that this new plumper was available in only ONE SHADE!!! And to make matters worse, it was a friggen RED shade! I don’t know about you, but the last thing I’ve been reaching for during this whole pandemic has been a red lippie. I mean could you imagine a red lip plumper under a mask?! The horror! But let’s be real, that didn’t stop me from purchasing the shade “Hot Cherry” which I’ll admit, is a totally gorgeous, bright cherry red shade.
Will I reach for it a whole lot more once we’re in living in a mask free world? Heck ya! But until then, I’ll stick to my nudes!

The FENTY Beauty Gloss Bomb Heat Gods finally heard my prayers as several months later, I received a notification that FENTY Beauty was expanding their HEAT line, adding a plumping version to the fan favourite shades: “Fenty Glow”, “Fu$$y” and “Hot Chocolit”. While I LOVE the shade “Fu$$y”, I opted for the classic “Fenty Glow” and man oh man am I OBSESSED! I actually find that I prefer the HEAT version of this shade to the OG Gloss Bomb as it appears more pinky nude on my lips (and less brown than the gloss appears).

Before I get too ahead of myself (GOSH I love talking about lip plumpers), let’s take a minute to chat about the basics of these plumpers.
- These bad boys retail for $28 CAD which is $3 more than the original Gloss Bombs
- They’re described as being a shimmer-free lip luminizer and plumper that delivers a hint of tint and fuller-looking lips
- “Gloss Bomb Heat has an innovative Plump Job Complex that contains a blend of ingredients designed to gently plump lips for an undeniably fuller pout. The conditioning shea butter and vitamin E help lock in moisture for an intense wet-look shine finish”
- They’re free of parabens + phthalates AND are gluten-free and most importantly, cruelty-free!
Now that I’ve had time with all 3 of the different FENTY Beauty gloss formulas (Gloss Bomb, Gloss Bomb Cream + Gloss Bomb Heat) and would consider myself a bit of an expert on the topic (haha), let’s see how they compare.

While these aren’t necessarily the most affordable glosses, I do think they’re totally worth it if you’ve got $30 to spend on a gloss. Regardless of which formula you go with, ALL smell delicious, aren’t sticky AT ALL and hydrate the lips for hours after application. All 3 Gloss Bomb formulas are gorgeous when worn alone or paired with your fav lip combo.
Now, for the question on everyone’s mind…. do these plumpers actually work??
When it comes to the Gloss Bomb Heat, be warned, it does sting! Now we’re not talking about the crazy stinging that you experience with the Too Faced Lip Injection glosses that for some, is too much to handle, but you’ll notice it for a moment for sure. Once that spicy feeling wears off, you’re left with the glossiest pout that after some time, in my opinion makes your lips look fuller! I do find that as the gloss wears off, you’re left with a slight tint to the lips which personally, keeps me coming back for more!

IN CONCLUSION, this has totally replaced my Too Faced Extreme Lip Injection obsession and I could not be more excited!
Do you use lip plumpers? If so, are you going to try this one??
Thanks so much for stopping by & until next time,
xo
