Oh my gosh, can you believe it’s September 1st today?! This year is going by way too fast.
While 2020 has turned out A LOT different than I (and every other human) had anticipated, there is one thing that totally exceeded my expectations this year. Annnd that is none other than the number of incredible lippie launches that graced our lips this year. From the Fenty Beauty Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipsticks (gosh that’s a mouthful haha) to the Maybelline Lifter Glosses, the Kosasport Hyaluronic Lip Balm to the e.l.f cosmetics Ride or Die Lip Balms, there have been so many new & incredible lip launches that will forever hold a permanent place in my makeup collection.
Now, today I thought I’d chat with you about a new’ish launch from the makeup goddess herself, Huda Kattan (aka founder of Huda Beauty). While she’s known for her seriously incredible eye shadow palettes (honestly if you don’t already have one of these in your makeup collection, I guarantee you NEED one) and signature liquid lipsticks, when I heard she had come out with a lip product that was guaranteed to not only moisturize but also plump my lips, well there was no way I could resist. If I remember correctly, this magical lip balm launched back in May (my Sephora receipts tell me I purchased this at the beginning of June which I believe is when they were first added to the Sephora website).
ANNNNNYWAYS, here’s what you need to know about the Huda Beauty Silk Balm Hydrating + Nourishing Lip Balm…

Huda Beauty recommends that this balm be applied liberally to the lips in the morning as well as throughout the day. I’ve been solely lathering this gorgeous balm onto my newly plumped pout at bed time (as a lip mask) and friends, let me tell you, I wake up with THE largest, juiciest looking lips!
On an independent consumer testing panel, women were asked to use the product twice daily for 7 consecutive days.
Here are the results:
– 100% of the volunteers agreed their lips felt more nourished
– 95% of the volunteers agreed their lips felt restored
– 95% of the volunteers agreed their lips looked smoother
