Happy Friday friends!
Week one of working from home down…and hopefully zero more to go. I know that’s not likely the reality, but a girl can dream right?!
Before this COVID-19 lockdown, if I wasn’t strolling the aisles of Sephora or curled up in bed reading the latest murder mystery, you’d likely find me lost in the world of…YouTube! For me, YouTube serves as the perfect little getaway whether I’m watching GRWM’s, beauty hauls, lip swatch videos, daily vlogs, or ALL of the Dr. Phil clips haha.
Since we’re all stuck indoors for the foreseeable future, I figured now might be the perfect time to share with you my favourite content creators in the hopes that they might provide you with as much entertainment (and joy) as they do for me. Putting together this little list was a no brainer since the following 10 channels are ones I visit…literally everyday. What did surprise me was the number of YouTubers that I watch that are Canadian! So interesting…EH!? haha
And so, in no particular order, here are my top 10 favourite YouTube channels:
Allana Davison IS #LIFE! Bold statement I know, but I love her channel almost as much as I love coffee…or lip gloss. Her channel touches on everything from beauty and fashion to lifestyle and travel, and her quirky sense of humour manages to brighten my darkest of days. She is the sole reason my makeup collection is as out of control as it is because everything she raves about…I actually run out and buy. On March 2nd, she announced that she would be starting “100 videos in 100 days” so now is definitely the time to jump on the Allana Davison bandwagon, I promise you won’t regret it!
Elanna Pecherle aka EllePearls is who I aspire to be when I grow up…even though I’m pretty sure I’m older than her! Long story short, she was a makeup artist living about an hour away from me, she met a boy, moved to Ireland and now has THE cutest little family…which makes for THE best YouTube channel! If that’s not the picture perfect plot for a Hallmark movie I don’t know what is. Anyways, her channel covers all things beauty, fashion & home decor annnnd I’m obsessed!
Over the last 6 years, one of the few things that’s remained constant is my devotion to Alex’s YouTube channel! In those 6 years we’ve watched her become a wife, mother & badass business owner all while maintaining SUCH a positive outlook on life. She also has a channel with her husband called “Alex and Michael” where they typically post vlog style videos. Do yourself a favour and subscribe to both!
Miss America contestant, Amazing Race competitor, TV host, blogger, podcaster, YouTuber, Wife & Mother. Mallory Ervin is the definition of a #bossbabe! This Nashville based content creator covers everything from beauty + fashion to recipes, organization & declutter and everything in between. Subscribe right now..seriously, do it!
5) Jamie Paige
With over 469,000 subscribers, this Montreal based stunner talks about all things beauty + makeup, from her “5 BEST & 5 WORST” videos to her insanely calming “GRWM’s”. She’s super real and relatable, making her one of my favourite YouTuber’s to watch!
So Estée’s channel might be THE first one I ever subscribed to…what feels like many, many moons ago. This gals been making videos for the last 8 years which I’m pretty sure makes her an OG! When she started her channel, she was living about an hour away from me. Now, she resides in London, England, is a published author, has a blog, a podcast AND a jewellery line! If you’re beauty obsessed like I am, then you need to be subscribed to her channel. Oh + did I mention, she has over 1 MILLION subscribers!
7) RachhLoves
I became obsessed with RachhLoves a couple of years ago and only recently found out that she ALSO lives about an hour away from me. Who knew there were so many popular YouTuber’s just outside of Toronto! With 1.47 MILLION subscribers, her channel focuses on all things beauty, testing out all of the latest makeup launches, helping us figure out what’s worth the hype & what isn’t. She also has another channel called RachhLovesLife (which on it’s own has 568,000 subscribers) where she posts everything from “Testing 5 Star Rated Gadgets from Amazon to Fall Asleep Fast” to “Testing Tasty Buzzfeed Recipes”. Honestly, RachhLoves has a video for everyone!
8) Tati
If you’re makeup + beauty obsessed, then you’ll definitely know my next YouTube favourite! With over 9.6 MILLION subscribers, Tati’s channel is your one stop shop for all things makeup. From high end beauty to the latest drugstore finds, she’ll walk you through which products are worth spending your pennies on + which ones you should probably just avoid. Not to name drop, but she’s had Charlotte Tilbury, Jessica Alba & Drew Barrymore on her channel. Just saying…she knows a thing or two about makeup!
Shawn Johnson (yes the Olympic gymnast) + Andrew East (former NFL’er) = The East Fam. Long story short, I LOVE everything about these two. If you read my October Favorites post, then you’ll remember seeing their channel on that list. These two are #couplegoals all day every day. They post everything from fun challenges (“Baby Food Challenge”, “Husband Does My Olympian Workout” & “Gross What’s In The Box Challenge”) to real talk vids (“The Hardest Thing About Marriage”, “Planning For a Family” + “How We Named our Baby”). Their content is real & raw and totally inspiring!
10) Joelle Anello
Last but certainly not least, is Toronto-based YouTuber, Joëlle Anello AKA the extraordinary mind behind the blog, La Petite Noob. From “Zara Hauls + Try Ons” to “Money Management Tips for Couples”, this new mom’s channel covers it all! Watching Joëlle’s channel is truly a breath of fresh air and I have to admit, I get so excited when I receive a notification that she’s uploaded a new video!
