I hope you are all doing well & surviving what feels like day 459 of the COVID-19 global lock down.
I’m on day 2 of what feels like house arrest….and I’m borderline going crazy. Who knew that the novelty of unlimited Netflix would last…. about 10 minutes. I tell ya, I CANNOT wait to go to a mall or a coffee shop…or at this rate, even the office! Anyways, when I’m not bingeing every show imaginable on Netflix (aka turning my brain to mush), running aimlessly on the treadmill, orrrr stuffing my face with ALL of the junk food just to pass the time, working on this little blog serves as the perfect calorie free distraction.
But seriously, the idea that I CAN’T leave the house is making me feel kinda trapped. Anyone else feeling like that?

ANYWAYS….a couple weeks ago while scrolling through Instagram, I came across a makeup brand I had never heard of before called Nettybird Cosmetics. All of my favorite Instagrammers were posing with these bright, colorful & super unique palettes that I just needed to know everything about. After a little bit of research I found that NettyBird is a beauty company focused on empowering women blended with love, faith, positivity & self-worth. I mean, how could you not want to support a brand like this?
Instead of going straight to my natural habitat (aka the “Lip” section), I thought I’d take a look at their eye shadow palettes since that’s what first got my attention. Annnnnd my friends, that’s when I locked eyes with THE most gorgeous, bright blue palette I’d ever seen. Now let’s get one thing straight, this isn’t your Mom’s blue eye shadow from the 70’s. I’m talking about the brightest, most pigmented teal, navy + aqua shades! I know when we think of makeup faux pas, blue eye shadow is usually at the top of that list. This palette takes blue shadows to a whole new level, and it’s a game changer. After a few minutes of debating with myself as to whether or not I’d get any use out of this little palette…into the cart it went!
{SIDENOTE: I also have to add that during the whole process, the ladies at Nettybird were SO friendly & super helpful that the whole ordering process was actually quite lovely + felt super personal. I don’t know about you, but I definitely can’t say that I’ve had an experience quite like it with any other brand before.}
