With Valentine’s just days away, I thought it might be fun to share some makeup/outfit inspo with you, no matter how you’ll be spending the day! Whether you’ll be celebrating with your boo (or whatever the kids are calling it these days) or spending the evening with your bestie (like I am), I’ve got a look for you!
Thanks to Pinterest, here are some of my favourite makeup & outfit ideas for this Valentine’s day…
MAKEUP
When it comes to makeup, & eyeshadow in particular, I am (or at least was until 2 weeks ago haha), strictly a nude eye kind of a gal. Don’t even bother suggesting a colourful palette with blues and reds or greens, because you best believe they will never make their way onto my little eyelids. I’ve always thought that pink/red shadow shades were kinda weird and made me (in particular) look ill. Annnnnd then, FENTY Beauty launched their Snap Shadows Mix & Match palettes, and that all changed.
Their “4 Rose” Palette is a collection of pinks and rosy shades and this little palette has literally changed my eyeshadow game…FOREVER. I can’t get enough of it. Anyways long story short, I am ALL about a colourful shadow now. For this Valentine’s Day, I’m thinking you either go for a pink/red eye look OR a bold, bright lip. The idea of both makes me a tad nervous, but if you can rock it (which I know you can), you do you BOO!
OUTFIT
#REALTALK: When I write these posts, it kind of makes me realize how uptight I’ve been with my makeup and fashion choices (haha). I, for whatever reason, used to think it was tacky to wear anything red or pink, or anything that had cute little hearts on it on February 14th. But, after perusing the pages of Pinterest, there are SO many super cute outfit ideas that are fun and totally flirty. Whether you’re out for a romantic dinner date or celebrating Galentine’s Day with your bestie, there is an outfit for everyone to feel comfortable & ready for Valentine’s in!
