September Beauty Favs

Happy October 20th friends!

But seriously, where has this year gone? Is anyone else feeling a tad anxious about how fast 2019 has flown by?

One of my all time favourite Youtube videos to watch are monthly favourites. We all have a few products that we reach for more than others during the month. I figured I’d take this time to chat about a few of the products I was loving during the month of September.

September was super warm here in Ontario so I was still going for a minimal makeup look, similar to what I had done during the summer.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at the products I was loving during the month of September…

1) MORPHE 35V Stunning Vibes Artistry Palette

BEST.EYESHADOW.PALETTE.EVER!

Seriously, Morphe hit it out of the park with this stunning palette. For $35 CAD, you get 35 matte + shimmer shades, with tons and tons of lovely neutrals (perfect for us non-adventurous with our eyeshadow gals). I’ve been dipping into  “Shameless”, “French Kiss” + “Polished” a ton since I got the palette and they are stunning! As we get a little further into fall I’m hoping to experiment with a few of the darker shades.

2) Clinique Repairwear Intensive Lip Treatment

I don’t think I’ve ever loved a lippie quite as much as I have this Clinique beauty. I’ve officially gone through 2 tubes of this stuff in the last 9-ish months. It’s the perfect balm to throw on day & night (and every time in between). Not only are my lips super hydrated after minutes of having this stuff lathered on, but they do look more plump! And if you know me, you know that I OBSESSED with having a plump pout. It’s a bit of a pricey balm (retailing for $35 CAD) however my lips are seriously addicted to it.

3) LANEIGE Lip Glowy Balm in “Grapefruit”

Speaking of addicting balms, we should probably chat about this one from LANEIGE. This brand is incredible and I’ve never met a soul that doesn’t like their lip products. From the Lip Sleeping Masks to these Lip Glowy Balms, they are the perfect day to night balm and leave the lips super hydrated and super glossy! They retail for $20 CAD which is a total steal! LANEIGE has 4 delicious scents to choose from….sooo you probably need to add one of these to your basket!!

4) Essence Super Curl Volume Eye-Opening Mascara

When you’re as obsessed with Essence Makeup as I am, you wanna try EVERYTHING in the line! I know it sounds dramatic, but the Essence Makeup Lash Princess False Lash Mascara kind of changed the mascara game for me…or the makeup game in general. How could a product that only costs $4.99 outperform a similar product that costs 10 times that?! Anyways with such success with the Lash Princess, I thought I’d try another one of their mascaras. The Super Curl mascara did not disappoint! With a much different wand than any other mascara I’ve seen, it separates the lashes like no other. This mascara has definitely been added to my must haves list!

5) Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau So Sweet

“A fragrance is like a signature, so that even after a woman leaves the room, her fragrance should reveal she’s been there.” – Oscar De La Renta

Prada Candy, Burberry Britt and Pink Sugar have all been my perfume go to’s for years now. While they may be super sweet + too juvenile for some, they are my favourite scents. Since it’s launch, Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau so Sweet, has officially been added to my list of favourite scents. It’s super girly, fresh and the perfect amount of sweet. It’s definitely the perfect summer scent, but you better believe I’ll be taking this one with me into the Fall and Winter months. Marc Jacobs perfectly describes this perfume as having a fruity top note with white raspberries, a floral heart with daisy tree petals and a feminine base with sugar musks.

6) MAC Pineapple Prep + Prime Fix+ setting spray

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I was totally late to the setting spray game. I’m not sure I ever knew the benefits of dousing myself in some kind of spray once my makeup was finally on. Jokes on me because a few spritzes of this stuff and I was obsessed. I purchased a travel size of the original setting spray and in about 2 months, I had finished it and definitely needed more of it in my life. MAC had just come out with a few other scents of their setting spray + this pineapple one sounded like exactly what I needed. Depending on what my day looks like, I’ll either use this stuff once my base is on (tinted moisturizer, concealer +bronzer) OR I’ll put on all of my makeup and then give my face a few spritzes. I notice that my makeup lasts SO much longer and makes it look a little more “set” aka not as shiny as maybe I normally would.

What were some of your September beauty favs?

Thanks so much for stopping by & until next time!
