Fall Lip Inspo for 2019

“Fall shows us how beautiful it is to let things go”

Pumpkin patches, PSL’s, plaid, OH MY! Add a dark, vampy lip to the mix & fall time is my FAVOURITE time!

With the cooler weather rolling in and pumpkin patch season officially open for business, I’m on the hunt for the perfect fall time lip + am in total need of some inspo. So where does one go when they need some inspo? Pinterest, of course!

After a couple minutes (or hours) of scrolling through “fall lips”, I came across a few pictures that made me wanna rush out the door + to the nearest Sephora. So without further ado, here are a few of the pictures that were giving me total fall time vibes:

After I came back to reality from getting lost in the world of Pinterest, I was feeling totally inspired. Before I dropped what I was doing, jumped in the car and headed to Sephora, I decided to take a look at my own makeup stash to see if I had any hiding in my own collection.

To my surprise, I had a handful of pretty perfect, fall lippies, ranging from slightly darker, everyday nudes to full on made for vampire lipsticks.

A darker lip is totally out of my comfort zone and every year I hope that it’ll be the year I take the plunge and wear one. In the spirit of #tryingtolivemybestlife, there’s no time like the present. I’ve had it in my head that not everyone can pull off a dark, vampy lip; that depending on your hair colour and complexion, not all shades will be “right” for you. Well you know what, YOLO (that’s what the kids are saying right?!) Wear whatever friggen’ lipstick makes you feel good!

For anyone wanting to step up their fall lip game, I’ve broken down the fall lips in my own collection based on how “all out” you wanna go with this.

Fall Lips for Beginners:

Sexton in the City Boutique Lipgloss in “Embrace”

Burts Bees Lipstick in “Juniper Water”

Elf Cosmetics Matte Lip Color in “Praline”

Urban Decay Comfort Matte Lipstick in “BackTalk”

Testing the Waters with a Darker Fall Lip:

NARS Velvet Lip Glide in “Bound”

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in “Do Me Baby”

MAC LipGlass in “Soar”

Full Fledged Fall/Vampy Lip:

Nudestix Magnetic Matte Lip Color in “Vino”

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in “Poet”

Bite Beauty  Amuse Bouche Liquified Lip in “Marsala”

After testing out a few of the fall lip colours in my own collection, I’m officially ready to venture out to Sephora to see what other darker shades I can get my hands on.

Which category of fall lip would you normally gravitate towards?

Thanks so much for stopping by & until next time,
